I just realized that I've been on this site for three years ..nine days ago. That's one hell of a record for me. I really don't think I've kept a profile in any place that long, let alone actively participated in the sometimes gruesome social dynamic of such a place. I'm glad that I did though, as it's earned me association with some of the coolest people I've ever met.



Since I no longer have a friends box on my page, though I intend to change that eventually, I think I'll make a list of them here in no particular order. If you don't know these folks already, it's probably just because you're a raging douche bag in need of chat-rehabilitation. Granted, not all of these people are ones I associate with regularly and some I have just come to admire through brief interaction ..also, some of the people in this list are no longer site members, have had their profiles taken over by others since, or have changed their names, but you should still take a peek and rate generously where you can:

All these people you see listed here are folks that I both admire and wish the best for where ever they are. I'll extend this list some day I'm sure, but for now, these are key holes to peek into if you want to add some quality to your life.

Things never cease to be "interesting", in the Chinese sense, when it comes to the details of living with me. However, I'm pleased to report that the sweet follows the sour today with a chainsaw, and promises to stir up some new possibilities that I wasn't sure would ever arise.



I have recently been accepted to a new program, which on top of providing me with all the care and medicine I will need to get well, will also be helping in other aspects to insure that I will get into school and no more have to be concerned with the residential situation. Mere hours after this great news hit me I also managed to land a new job, which I was utterly desperate for. It's not exactly Microsoft, but a fellow in my shoes is glad and proud to be able to attain next to anything on his own. As my health improves during treatment, indeed, I look forward to gaining much more in the way of resources and soon being able to amass what is needed for my hopeful relocation to a more suitable environment. I haven't any objective way of knowing whether or not all these things will live up to the promises I've received or the expectations I developed, but my faith in order sustains me now, and it is, regardless of anything else, a step in a positive direction.



I cannot overstate the importance of the truism that reports, "The only way to do it, is to do it." It seems obvious and simple to apply, but in the corners of the mind that are less well lit by the lamps of desire or hope it can be a difficult thing to aspire to, or even recall. I have dwelt in such a place for a long time, and I imagine that at least someone who may read this has as well. I will escape from that prison though. His fire directed through my own will becomes the tool that lends to salvation.



I am very grateful to those of you whom I've met on this site over the past three years that have not only been patient with my absence, but consistent in your support as friends, even when I haven't had the ability in my state to always do the same for you. It has meant more to me than you can know. I am a still a wanderer in the woods for now, but it takes time to resist and rebuild. Do believe though, as I do, if even just for this moment, that all will be as it is meant to be through action ..and that everything is going to be all right.

I was just looking to see if you have posted anything interesting lately. And I am not disappointed. Your thoughts seem to weirdly mirror my own in a lot of ways, though this is something I already had an idea of. I was not aware that you were sick Matthew but then again we have not been able to talk much. However I am relieved to hear that you are feeling good about where the situation is headed and you are going in the direction you want to go. I don't want to rattle on endlessly but I caught mention of me in your jan. 20th entry and I thought that was very sweet of you. You and I seem to be in the same boat in terms of "familiarity breeds contempt" though we have only spoken a few times since I got my Internet back I feel like no time passed at all. I relate to your words as always.
